SPORT PILOT POWERED PARACHUTE Training (SP PPCL)

We sincerely believe that no PPC training program incorporates the years of experience; or the number of graduated Pilots that our CFI's have endorsed.

Our new Sport Pilot training DVD ("SP PPCL Training & Reference manual") is 2nd to none.

Our structured program consistently builds upon the experiences of our Students; adding manuevers & knowledge in simple - but thorough steps - from novice to Sport Pilot; and even to Private Pilot.

We have 3 full-time CFI's and one full-time FAA Sport Flight Instructor Examiner on staff.

We could continue listing our credentials, but we believe that you may find the endorsements and references of our previous students the best recommendation of all.

More details can however be found on our Sport Pilot information page.

ON-SITE Training

Due to the distance between CFI's (Certified Flight Instructors) and students, SkyTrails offers a program that can bring the Instructor to your location for: New PPC Pilot Training; Testing Preparations and Practical Tests.  So if you have a group of Pilots that need a PPC SP CFI or Examiner, please contact us to arrange for our services to be brought to your area.

Sport Pilot Biennial

This is a short procedure that is designed to bring a Sport Pilot 'up-to-date' with current regulations, techniques and information.  Another valuable asset of the course is the sharing of information and experiences from Instructors.

Deposits, Cancellations & Refunds

Training Programs:

A non-refundable 33% deposit is required to hold a student’s enrollment for scheduled training.

Upon early withdrawal of the student for emergencies or unforeseen matters; Up to 67% of the total class cost will be prorated against the un-used class time and returned.  (The non-refundable 33% deposit will not be refunded, but it may be used toward future classes.)

Payment in-full is due at the end of each Sport Pilot lesson, unless a complete program price is pre-arranged; and paid in-advance.

After completing a class or a lesson, an un-satisfied student, may request an arbitration board (made up of 3 or more ‘outside’ Instructors)  to hear their case against SkyTrails Ranch training center.  SkyTrails Ranch will adhere to the decision of the Arbitration board. The Arbitration board may require from 0% to 100% of the total training fees – not travel expenses – to be returned to the student within 30 days.

Once the student accepts the Instructor’s Endorsement form to fly solo or his endorsement signature in their Log Book, no refunds will be considered.

[Note: The above stuff is more or less for the lawyers and our bank's credit card contract (Visa & M/C).  Therefore, if a situation occurs that requires that a student leaves the class early – we are going to go out of our way to make sure they get a fair deal!]
